West Ham Thrashes Nine-Man Lincoln in a Six-Goal Stunner
West Ham United got back on track in style, demolishing nine-man Lincoln City 6-0 at ProAmpac Stadium. The match kicked off with a bang as Lincoln's Tom Hamer was shown red just three minutes in, and his teammate Conor McGrandles followed suit 20 minutes later. West Ham capitalized on their numerical advantage, with Konstantinos Mavropanos heading in the opener just before half-time. The second half was all about West Ham, who racked up goals from Edvin Austbø, Jarrod Bowen, Pablo, and a brace from Tomas Soucek, as Lincoln struggled to contain the onslaught and limit the damage. In a tightly contested battle, Southampton secured their second 1-0 win in just four days, further deepening Norwich's woes with a fourth consecutive league loss. Tonda Eckert's men followed up their recent victory over Portsmouth with their first away triumph of the season, thanks to Kuryu Matsuki’s strike early in the second half. Despite starting the season with a four-point penalty, Southampton finds themselves comfortably in the top half of the table, while Norwich is left to ponder their dismal form near the relegation zone. Portsmouth also pulled off a dramatic finish, overcoming a 2-0 lead they had given up to edge past 10-man Sheffield United 3-2 at Fratton Park. Zak Swanson opened the scoring with a brilliant strike, and Adrian Segecic doubled the lead before Hamza Choudhury saw red. But the Blades fought back through goals from Japhet Tanganga and Tom Cannon, leveling the match and looking for their first back-to-back wins of the season. Just when it seemed all hope was lost for Portsmouth, Ebou Adams came off the bench to score a late winner, clinching three points and their third victory of the season. QPR continued their strong start to the season with a resounding 4-1 victory over struggling Derby at home. They dominated the first half with goals from Alfie Lloyd, a penalty from Nicolas Madsen, and a third from Harvey Vale. Paul Smyth added a fourth with a deflected shot in the second half, while Lars-Jørgen Salvesen managed a late consolation for Derby.
