Swansea City continues to shine at the top of the Championship after a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Norwich at home. Adam Idah, who had struggled to convert earlier chances, finally found the net with a precise header in the 59th minute, sealing the comeback after his team had fallen behind to a first-half goal from Jacob Wright.
Idah was set up nicely by Joseph Opoku in the 22nd minute, but his heavy touch let him down, allowing Norwich's keeper Vladan Kovacevic to intervene. Norwich, looking dangerous on the break, nearly capitalized with a cross that forced Stephen Welsh to head over his own bar, resulting in a corner kick.
Although Swansea cleared the corner, Norwich's Andre Brooks and Oscar Schwartau worked together to steal the ball from Welsh, leading to Wright's opening goal in the 28th minute. Idah had two more opportunities to equalize before halftime, but Kovacevic was once again up to the task, denying him both times.
Swansea found their rhythm just four minutes after the break when Yeo, in fine form, scored his third goal in as many games. A slick passing move on the left allowed Josh Tymon to deliver a cross that Idah missed, but Yeo was there at the back post to finish it off.
The turning point arrived just before the hour mark when Idah headed in from a perfectly placed cross by Melker Widell, giving Swansea the lead. Norwich pressed for a late equalizer, creating two solid chances, but Lawrence Vigouroux stood tall, first saving a shot from Sam Field and then watching Jovon Makama head over from close range.
In another gripping encounter, Birmingham City triumphed over West Brom with a 1-0 win at The Hawthorns, thanks to a penalty awarded in the 41st minute. West Brom defender Nat Phillips was once again the culprit, following his mistake in a previous derby against Wolves.
Phillips clumsily challenged a forward in the air, allowing August Priske to convert the penalty with a confident strike to Max O’Leary’s left, marking his second goal of the season. The result leaves both teams level on 14 points.
Meanwhile, Charlton Athletic's winless streak extended to six matches after they managed only a 1-1 draw against Bristol City at The Valley. Karlan Grant put Charlton in front with an early goal in the eighth minute, but Scott Twine responded before halftime to level the score.
