Liverpool’s Victory Still Raises Questions: Danny Murphy's Take

Match of the Day's Danny Murphy has some critical insights on Liverpool following their 2-1 triumph against Brentford. He believes the Reds are still 'too easy' to break down, raising eyebrows even after securing the win. In the aftermath of the match, Murphy pointed out that Liverpool's structure and defensive organization leave much to be desired. While the team celebrated the three points, he urged fans to consider the gaps that still exist in their gameplay. The game showcased some bright moments for Liverpool, but their fragility was apparent. Murphy's analysis suggests that without addressing these issues, Liverpool may struggle against tougher opponents moving forward. Brentford fans, on the other hand, seemed to find solace in their performance, with one supporter saying, 'I'll absolutely take that.' It’s clear that the Bees put up a solid fight, even in defeat. Meanwhile, discussions around Mohamed Salah's recent comments indicate a disjointed feeling within the squad. This sentiment only adds to the growing concerns about Liverpool's identity under pressure. As the fixture pile-up continues, questions remain about squad rotation and whether Liverpool's approach can truly lead them back to the top. They may have won this battle, but the war for consistency and cohesion is far from over.
